The basics 4 : Rule time part 2 : Skill resolution
In the previous article I explain how activating a spell and a skill worked and what was their differences. If you haven't read it yet, you can find it here.
To recap :
-Spell : Declare the spell, pay the cost, target. Counter timing for the opponent. Resolve.
-Skill (from a monster/item/set spells...) : Declare the skill, target and select the ressources for the condition. Counter timing for the opponent. Pay the condition and resolve the skill.
Now let's see how it works when you pay the condition of the skill. This rule is very important in the game because it creates a lot of very interesting situations that don't happen in other card games.

The basics 4 : Rule time part 1 : Effet and spell activation rule
Buddyfight has a very unique use of the payment/resolution of the effects. This unique gestion of the skill truly makes Buddyfight a deeper game.
Unfortunatly, it also causes a lot of chaos because this is something that too much players ignore. A lot of those players use the assumption that Buddyfight works the same way that X other card game work.
This is why I want to explain how the most important rule in buddyfight works : Skill activations.

The basics 3 : Do not give your opponent unneeded choices
If you consider yourself as an ok player, don't read this article. This is a reminder of something that seems obvious but that is not.
I've been seeing this two or three times : call more than one monster turn 0.

The basics 2 : The archetype written on the card isn't obviously the one where it should be played
Archetypes are here to preserve game diversity.
If any cards were available in all decks, only one deck would be playable : a best of the best of all the cards that are available at the moment. Don't get me wrong, it is interesting in its own way since there will always be interesting techs, but a big part of all the dcks will be the same.

The basics : Make the best use of your card
I found out that a lot of player on Buddyfight area were not that good. And this is tottaly fine. Everybody must have a first card game where he will learn the basics of the Tcg. I played yugioh competitively before but everybody has not.
This is why i start this basic serie where i go back to the whire for all the players who started buddyfight as their first card game.
